Why are beeswax candles so special?

Long before a beeswax candle becomes a finished product, there is a trail that nature must weave. It takes 160,000 honeybees, traveling 150,000 miles collecting nectar, to produce 60 pounds of honey that yields only one pound of beeswax. One pound of beeswax yields just two pairs of our 12-inch solid taper candles. Due to the high demand for beeswax candles, millions of pounds of beeswax each year are harvested from beekeepers in both the United States and Europe.

The Antique Gold line pillars below are a mélange of beeswax and paraffin. The tapers, however, are pure beeswax. All the other candles on this page are 100% beeswax.

These stunning hand made 100% beeswax taper candles' unique shape allows fingers of beeswax to form around the flame when the candle is burning. The picture depicts a burn time of about 2 hours. Total burn time is approx. 9 hours. What a sight to behold! Various colors available.

These stunning tapers create an ambiance of ultimate elegance and sophistication; simple yet refined. Due to the delicate nature of these magnificent tapers, they are made to order. You may order them either single-colored or multi-colored. Lead-time is 2-3 weeks depending on the time of the year. They are $14.95 each and a minimum of 1 dozen is required to place the order. Colors shown on the pictures are: Natural, Gold, Caramel and Bronze and the multi colored one is Gold, Terracotta and Avocado. Additional colors are available.
